Geoff Storm – 2012 Ad Person of the Year
Geoff Storm, Creative Service Director at TownSquare Media of Utica-Rome, oversees creative content for radio stations WLZW, WFRG, WIBX, and WODZ. Geoff has received over 15 NYS Broadcasters Association Awards for excellence in broadcasting, and in 2004, he was a Radio Mercury Awards finalist for Best U.S. Radio Station Produced Commercial. Geoff is a recipient of the Mohawk Valley’s 40 Under 40 Award.

In addition to his full-time radio gig, Geoff volunteers extensively in our community seeking out and creating projects of value such as his role as the producer and creator of The innocence project, documenting the story of Steve Barn’s wrongful incarceration, and The Utica Firefly: A storytelling project documenting the people and places that make CNY unique. Geoff also serves the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Oneida County Historical Society, Mohawk Valley Ad Club and The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida and Counties. For eight years he was the VP of the Northern Frontier Project: A Historic Preservation Organization, and for the last 3 years had been their Speakers Committee Chairman.
Geoff holds a B.A. in history from Utica College and enjoys researching, writing and producing historical and human-interest radio documentaries.
